[Duration of Retaining and Using Personal Information]

Personal information is stored from date of signing up for registration. It is retained and used only when WTA Secretariat provides any services in relation to the event. Personal information can be immediately deleted when 1) requesting withdrawal from the membership, 2) requesting withdrawal from the previous agreement on collecting and using personal information, 3) once the purpose of collection and use of the personal information is achieved, and ends the period of retention and use. However, the following information is retained for the specified period for the reasons below:

4. Children

The Website is not directed at children under the age of 14. We will never knowingly request personal information from anyone under the age of 14 without requiring parental consent. Our Master Terms of Use specifically prohibit anyone using our Website from submitting any personally identifiable information about persons less than 14 years of age. Any person who provides their personal information to the secretariat of WTA through the Website represents that they are 14 years of age or older.

5. Changes and Updates to this Privacy Policy

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will also revise the Effective Date below. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed about how we are protecting the personal information we collect. Your continued use of the Website constitutes your agreement to this Privacy Policy and any updates.

6. Responsibility for Security Breach

Members are responsible for the security of the passwords for their membership accounts. Secretariat of WTA never asks its members for their passwords, either through mail or any other methods. Under no circumstances should you ever disclose your password. We ask that you pay particular attention when you are logged in, in order to ensure that your personal information is not divulged to others.

Notification

[Name Badges]

Event attendees are reminded that it is important to wear your badge at all times. This allows you uncomplicated access to event programs, including the WTA Dajejeon Hi-Tech Fair. Due to the amount of support given by exhibitors to subsidize the event, your cooperation and support is appreciated!

[Guest Passes]

WTA Secretariat is pleased to offer a guest pass designed to provide exhibition guests’ access to the WTA Daejeon Hi-Tech Fair. Guest Passes are open only at on-site registration and do not provide access to other events (Global Innovation Forum or UNESCO-WTA International Training Workshop). Identification will be required.

[Conference Attire & Courtesies]

To make the conference experience an enjoyable event for all attendees, please keep the following in mind:

- As a courtesy to speakers and other attendees, please refrain from the use of cell phones during presentations. Please also keep in mind that conference participants are there to learn. In consideration of all attendees we ask that you please turn your cell phone to vibrate or off while in meetings.

- In order to accommodate environmental sensitivities of some of our attendees, if at all possible, please do not wear scented products while attending the conference, especially the sessions.

- To maintain and demonstrate professionalism within our industry, conference attire is business casual. Since it is difficult to adjust meeting room temperatures to suit individual preferences, please bring a sweater/jacket or wear layered clothing to ensure your comfort.

[Videos & Photography]

Any photos or videos taken at the conference by WTA Secretariat (or agent of WTA Secretariat) may be used in future conference collateral, appearing either in printed documents, video productions, or on the WTA websites. We appreciate your consent to use these photos for the purpose of sharing and promoting WTA events. Submission of your event registration form to WTA Secretariat acknowledges acceptance of these terms and provisions of registration.

[Smoking]

For the comfort and health of all attendees, WTA events are smoke-free. You may only smoke in areas which have been designated as smoking areas by the Daejeon Convention Center in Daejeon Metropolitan City, Republic of Korea

[Marketing Activities]

Attendees are not permitted to distribute materials or to otherwise market themselves or their business on the exhibit floor, in the conference session rooms, in break areas, or in or around the exhibit area unless such attendees are permitted by WTA Secretariat. Official sponsors and exhibitors are provided full right to carry out marketing activities.

[Statement of Liability Waiver]

The organizers of WTA events (UNESCO, WTA and Daejeon Metropolitan City) expressly disclaim liability for acts or omissions of the organizers and for third parties including facilities suppliers and exhibitors in conjunction with the event or for the safety of any attendee while in transit to or from this event. The organizers of this event shall not be liable for any delays or failure in performance or interruption of services resulting directly or indirectly from any cause or circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the organizers including but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, failure of transportation, weather, accidents, fires, electrical failures, strikes, labor disputes, postal delays, explosions, and government orders or regulations.

Registrants shall undertake full responsibility for the purchase of any insurance, which may be necessary in respect of accidents or sickness. WTA Secretariat assumes no responsibility for compensation in the event of sickness, accident, death or disability of a grantee, nor does it arrange for insurance of a grantee or reimburse premiums paid therefore.

The organizers reserve the right to cancel this function without liability. Attendees who purchased nonrefundable airline tickets do so at their own risk. The total amount of any and all liability of the organizers will be limited to a refund of the administration fee.

WTA Secretariat expressly disclaims any liability arising out of attendee’s consumption of alcoholic beverages in conjunction with WTA events. Persons under the age of 19 will be denied alcoholic beverages. Events participants are responsible for their own well being. The organizers expressly disclaim liability for any acts or omissions of attendees resulting from excessive drinking, recklessness or negligence on the part of any conference participant(s).

You also agree not to allow any other individual to participate in your place either at the conference, during the registration process, or any other conference-related activity including acceptance of these terms of registration.

Attendees/Exhibitors at the WTA events agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WTA Secretariat, its officers, directors and agents, against all claims arising out of actions or omissions of Attendee/ Exhibitor at or in connection with the 2019 WTA events except for WTA Secretariat’s own gross negligence or willful misconduct. WTA Secretariat agrees that it will indemnify and hold harmless Attendee/Exhibitor against all claims arising out of the acts or omissions of WTA Secretariat, its officers, directors and agents in connection with the 2019 WTA events except for Attendee’s/Exhibitor’s own gross negligence or willful misconduct.

WTA Secretariat reserves the right to substitute an equally qualified speaker in case of an emergency or cancellation. WTA Secretariat has no duty of due diligence with respect to presenters, exhibitors, or sponsors, and makes no endorsements of any presentation or product. The views, opinions, and presentations of speakers at WTA events may not reflect those of event organizers: UNESCO, WTA and Daejeon Metropolitan City.

Your event registration form acknowledges acceptance of these terms and provisions of registration.
